Guest Lecture By Mr. Anuj Bhatt, Advertising Expert, New Delhi

Mr. Anuj Bhatt has shared his valuable experiences of his career, and told the importance of brand and advertising on consumer buying behavior. According to him brand is the "relationship" with the consumer. Relationships are built on experiences.

The relationship with a consumer constitutes the sum of his experiences with the brand. Because the concept of a brand is the totality of a consumer's experiences with the brand, the consumer "owns" the brand because he owns his experiences with that brand. While focusing on the importance of advertising he said that the basic foundation of advertising is to control and drive consumer behavior toward a product or service.

Slipping sales numbers, reduced customer enthusiasm for new products and customer hesitancy to commit, have the potential to harm your bottom line. Changing consumer behavior through advertising is one method to correct these issues. A well-written, strategically placed advertisement has the power to change consumer behavior if you advertise consistently and deliver what your ad promises.
